Gary Gracey

Gary Gracey spent 32 years in Policing in Belfast, Northern Ireland, retiring in 2011. He progressed through policing ranks performing duties in uniform, undercover, intelligence branch, training in specialist operations and leadership and management. He finished his career as the Deputy Head of Specialist Operations, Strategic Commander/Gold, responsible for the strategic management of anti terrorist and serious and organized crime operations. In 2004, he co-wrote and delivered the strategic ‘Leadership in Counter Terrorism’ (LinCT) programme across the UK, US and Canada. In 2011/12 he was contracted as a Consultant/expert to the Azelle Rodney Public Inquiry in relation to a police involved shooting. He has subsequently been contracted on nine other police involved shootings on behalf of interested parties across all areas of the legal profession.

He has also been acting in a consultancy role in Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia and across the UK and Ireland. Latterly he has been deployed on behalf of the UK FCO/College of Policing on various training and liaison roles such as Strategic Advisor/Programme Manager and Trainer to the Head of Police Training Libya and Strategic Command and Leadership Programme – Rwanda.
