Julie Pereira

Julie has advised on conflict, humanitarian issues and strategy across government and for the private sector (including 2 years as Shell’s conflict adviser in the Niger Delta). She has held senior advisory roles in FCO, DFID, SU, Cabinet Office and deployed in support of military commanders in the field. She has worked with the JFU developing guidance and tools for conflict sensitive government programming in fragile states, conducting Conflict Audits of 20 CSSF programmes last year, including for the NE Nigeria programme. She has experience of working in Africa stretching over 30 years, and is currently working with a number of posts, including Morocco, Egypt and the Western Balkans, to support their assessment of likely trajectories and risks of instability as a result of Covid-19.
