Policy Statement
This policy summarises the steps that Minerva takes to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place either within our business or in our supply chains. The policy affirms that Minerva has zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking.
Minerva implements effective controls to ensure, to the best of its ability and knowledge, that neither practice is occurring anywhere in its supply chain. Our policies on safeguarding, whistleblowing and anti-corruption and bribery further outline our commitment to ethical practice. Our employees are trained professionals with specific skillsets and qualifications. Forced or child labour does not arise in our own operations.
Our Supplier Management Policy states that the selection and management of suppliers must “minimise the risk of illegal, unethical or unprofessional behaviour” and specifically “where a supplier provides personnel to Minerva it should have ethical employment practices”. MAG’s due diligence process includes reviewing a potential suppliers’ financial standing, legal status, delivery capacity, ongoing litigation, intention to subcontract any part of the provision, appropriately qualified and trained staff, policy and processes, etc. This is supported by a due diligence checklist.
